"A few years back, in Sawle, a village in Maharashtra, there were almost nil medical facilities and a low level of literacy rate. One of the families took a bold step and sent their daughter to the WIT Nursing School. They soon realized the value of education both socially and economically. Today, 10 girls from the same village have graduated from the WIT Nursing School. All are employed and regularly conduct camps in their community as well as in the surrounding villages." |
