The WIT restaurant opened in 1984 to serve home made, healthy and affordable food to the WIT workers and the local community. Meals for the nurses living in the hostel are also supplied from here.
The menu is chosen daily and is both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Ingredients are sourced from the Bombay wholesale market and from the local village. The kitchens receive an annual government hygiene inspection and the cooks an annual medical check.
A fast food service is planned to enable local workers to purchase a take away meal.
