She started with WIT after completing her SSC as a home-based stitching worker at the tender age of 18. Today after 30 years she is the Production Supervisor for all stitched, applique, embroidered as well as block-printed work at WIT Mahim. She is also in charge of Stores and Purchases.

Perween started working full time as a sales girl in 1983, and had the privilege of training under Kamila Tyabji for several years. Since then she has come a long, long way and has remained a loyal and vital part of WIT and all its activities.

She was awarded a certificate for Applique Design in 1996 in recognition of her striking innovations and a Special Award on WIT’s 45th Anniversary.

A mother of two, Perween has single-handedly educated her children and helped her son become a graduate. Her daughter follows in her footsteps and works from home for WIT doing beautiful and very elaborate applique work.

While she acknowledges her brother’s support all along, Perween believes it is WIT that has given her the confidence to stand on her own two feet and achieve success. WIT is a unique organisation and we are proud to attract bright and committed workers and staff alike. They have all made outstanding contributions to our development and reputation.

Bravo Perween! We salute your dedication and sterling contribution.
