What is Screen Printing?

  • The screen-printing department produces the WIT stationery, greeting cards, gift tags, gift envelopes, gift wrapping paper, paper bags and customised stationery.
  • All the work is done by hand. We use recycled and handmade paper wherever possible and incorporate both traditional and contemporary designs.
  • The training begins with the familiarisation of the entire screen printing process – the equipment, the printing and exposing tables, the chemicals and dyes used, and then progresses to the many procedures involved in the screen printing process.
  • The screen printers also print on fabric, producing items such as cushion covers, bags, kitchen linen etc.
