Vocational Skills Training & Livelihood Programme
- Catering to young girls and women with no formal educational background, the vocational skills training provided at the WIT centre have proved a boon for a number of women and girls.
- After the course the women either find employment in private companies or are employed as wage workers at WIT.
- Some enterprising women have taken the initiative to start their own business.
Block Printing
This ancient art has its roots in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Block Printing involves the creation of beautiful designs which are first made on wooden blocks.
Screen Printing
The screen-printing department produces the WIT stationery, greeting cards, gift tags, gift envelopes, gift wrapping paper, paper bags and customised stationery.
Soft Toys & Handicrafts
Started in 1993, the Toy Department produces a wide variety of ever popular children’s toys, as well as a range of seasonal decorations to meet the festivals in the calendar.
Tailoring
This department was the very first foundation of WIT.
