The WIT Nursing School was established in the year 1983 on the Kamila Tyabji WIT campus to equip girls with certified educational qualifications and to meet the need of trained medical nurses.  The two year residential Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery Diploma Course is affiliated to the Maharashtra Nursing Council as well as the All India Nursing Council.  Three decades of successfully training women in the crucial nursing and healthcare sector in India has resulted in more than 700 women qualifying to earn a livelihood through WIT.

Here, as with other WIT courses, the education, training and accommodation is imparted free; students pay towards meals which are subsidized by WIT.
