It is Women’s India Trust’s declared aim to provide training for women leading to meaningful professional employment. As part of this aim, WIT conducts The Early Childhood Care Education Diploma (ECCED) which is affiliated to the SNDT Women’s University. This certified course is conducted by trained teachers, who follow the prescribed curriculum. The SNDT conducts regular inspections during the course of the year. The one-year course is ideal for students who have cleared the HSC exam. It gives them a valuable qualification to secure a steady job or start their own Nursery or Creche for kids.
Method of Instruction
The ECCEd programme is taught by a team of well qualified faculty. The programme and course content is well planned to provide both practical and theory training. After successful completion of the course, students are eligible to apply for jobs in both government and private schools at the KG level, or as day care centre or Kindergarten entrepreneurs. Past students are now happily working in local schools.
