SCREEN PRINTING

The screen-printing department produces the WIT stationery, greetings cards, gift tags, gift envelopes, gift wrapping paper, paper bags and customised stationery. All the work is done by hand. We use recycled and handmade paper wherever possible and incorporate both traditional and contemporary designs. The training begins with the familiarisation of the entire screen printing process – the equipment, the printing and exposing tables, the chemicals and dyes used, and then progresses to the many procedures involved in the screen printing process. The screen printers also print on fabric, producing items such as cushion covers, bags, etc.
